Founded in 2003 by two brothers Peter and Simon Roe.
Greenfield’s Christmas trees Ltd is a family and friends run business.
After working on a Christmas tree farm the brothers began trading as the ‘THE TREE AMIGOS’ and soon struck up a contract with MORRISON’S supermarket plc to sell real Christmas trees outside three of their major stores.
Hard work, bad weather and long hours could have deterred the team however determination and vision prevailed and ‘The Tree Amigos’ now trade at over 15 sites across the North of England, in conjunction with Morrison’s, making us one of the UK’s largest independent real Christmas Tree retailers. Hurray!
We currently trade at Morrison’s supermarkets across Yorkshire and the North Midlands with plans to expand over Christmas 2010.
We begin selling our trees the last weekend of November and carry on through to Christmas Eve or until the last tree is sold (whichever comes first).
Each site has its own Tree Amigos manager who is on hand each day to help with all your real tree needs, from purchasing, to important tree care questions. You will be able to peruse the wide selection of trees at your leisure to make sure you choose the right tree for you! If you are in a hurry we also stock trees ready netted for convenience.
Once you have selected the perfect tree we offer a free netting service and will even carry the tree to the car for you!

Unlike most of the big Christmas tree retailers we spend time throughout the year sourcing our trees, visiting farms, talking to the growers and negotiating a fair price. Because of this our customers get a premium tree at a lower cost.
We consider ourselves the real tree experts as we specialise in Christmas trees - not hardware, DIY or other home improvement goods - so we know good trees and fully understand how to look after them.

All our trees are sourced from sustainable farms, which means for every tree cut, at least one more will be planted.
Over 65% of our trees are grown in the UK and over 80% of these are from Yorkshire. Not only does this support our local farmers, it also reduces tree miles.
Each year hundreds of thousands of trees are skipped, burned or thrown in the bin. You can help us conserve the environment by taking your old tree to a ‘Christmas Tree collection’. Most local authorities provide these alternatively there should be a Christmas tree container at your local recycling centre.
Each year the Tree Amigos give a substantial donation to the children's charity ‘Cash for Kids’ (formerly ‘help a hallam child’). The more trees we sell, the more we give.

Cash for Kids supports sick and needy children by providing grants to individuals, other charities, groups and the health sector.
Their aim is to raise money for kids who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled and have special needs and for children who need extra care and guidance. By supporting Cash for Kids you are actually supporting 100's of good causes in South Yorkshire & the North Midlands!
Cash for Kids works hard to improve the day to day quality of life for our children and is open to applications from local organisations or individuals who care and support our local children. Cash for Kids is registered with the Charity Commission (1123108)
